Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa has raised concerns in Parliament about recent intelligence reports warning of religious and communal violence in Sri Lanka in the future.
Speaking in Parliament, MP Premadasa pointed out that both local and foreign media have reported on the warning issued by several Intelligence Services.
“As per the media reports, different intelligence services have warned of religious and communal outbreaks of violence and bomb attacks in Sri Lanka. This is a scary situation,” he said.
MP Sajith Premadasa emphasized that such incidents reported in the media were a threat to national security.
