Two shooting incidents have been reported in separate areas over the last 24 – hours ending at 09.00 a.m. today.
A 49-year-old man has been injured after being shot at by unidentified gunmen at the Kurundhukumbura Junction on the Hettipola – Kuliyapitiya road last night (Aug. 24).
The Police stated that the victim had been shot by two individuals on a motorcycle.
The victim, a resident of Munamaldeniya, has been admitted to the Kuliyapitiya Hospital.
The Hettipola Police has launched investigations to apprehend the suspects.
Meanwhile, an individual has been injured in a shooting reported on Robert Gunawardena Mawatha in Thalangama, Battaramulla today.
The Police stated that the injured individual had been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
Two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle had carried out the shooting and fled the area.
The Thalangama Police is conducting investigations to apprehend the suspects. (NewsWire)
