A 25-year-old woman has died after suddenly falling ill while at a wedding ceremony in Horana, it was reported.
According to Daily News, the Moragahahena Police said the deceased is an employee of a private firm in Horana and a resident of Meegoda.
The woman had suddenly fallen ill while attending the wedding of a work colleague at a hotel in the Gonapola area in Horana.
The woman was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Horana Hospital.
As per the post-mortem examination, the death had occurred due to a heart attack caused as a result of food getting stuck in the respiratory tract. (NewsWire)
