The Fort Magistrate’s Court has issued an order preventing 24 individuals belonging to Trade Unions and political parties from entering certain parts of Colombo during a planned protest today.
As per the court order, issued at the request of the Police, the group is prevented from entering the Presidential Secretariat, the President’s House, the Finance Ministry premises, and the Central Bank in Colombo.
The Police stated that the group, including politicians Duminda Nagamuwa, Mujibur Rahman, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Hirunika Premachandra, and Prof. Charitha Herath, has been prevented from entering the said areas from 09.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. today. (NewsWire)
