President Ranil Wickremesinghe is set to speak at the 78th United Nations General Assembly, which will be held at the UN headquarters in New York from September 18th to September 26th.
His scheduled address is on September 21st. This assembly will bring together global leaders to address the multifaceted global challenges and seek ways to advance progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Meanwhile, The Sunday Times Newspaper reported that President is also set to participate in the Group of 77 (G77) summit in Havana, Cuba, on September 15 and 16, before heading to New York for the United Nations General Assembly. (NewsWire)
