4.65 Richter scale minor earthquake reported in Sri Lanka

A tremor with 4.65 magnitude in the Richter scale has been reported in the seas 300 kms North-East of Batticaloa today.

According to the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau, the tremor was recorded at around 1.30 am.

The Bureau added that there were no threats of tsunami to Sri Lanka. (NewsWire)
