A 47-year- old man has been injured after being shot by unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle in the Meetiyagoda area in Ambalangoda early this morning.
The Police stated that two armed men on a motorcycle had shot the man in the Mahawela area on the Ambalangoda- Meetiyagoda Road.
The suspects had fled the area following the shooting, while the injured individual had been admitted to the Balapitiya Hospital.
The injured individual has been identified as a resident of Paniyana, Ambalangoda.
The Meetiyagoda Police has launched investigations to apprehend the suspects. (NewsWire)
