A 34-year-old person has been arrested by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau after receiving complaints of defrauding over Rs. 9 million promising online jobs.
During initial investigations, officers of the fraud investigation bureau have identified 3 bank accounts belonging to the suspect with deposits of Rs. 7.2 million.
Police said that the suspect is a resident of Denagoda area in Karandeniya and has been remanded till 27th October after being produced before Mount Lavinia Magistrate on Friday (13). (NewsWire)
