Steps are being taken to send to Sri Lanka the body of a Sri Lankan woman who was killed in Israel in the ongoing conflict with Palestine, it was reported.
The Sri Lankan mission in Israel stated that measures are underway to return Anula Ratnayake’s body to Sri Lanka.
Sri Lankan Ambassador to Israel Nimal Bandara said that the body is expected to reach Colombo by Friday morning (Oct 27).
Giving an update on the situation of affected Sri Lankans in Israel, Nimal Bandara said the steps are underway to ascertain if another Sri Lankan reported missing has been killed in the conflict.
He further said that DNA samples have been collected from the missing man’s children which will be used to ascertain the details. (NewsWire)
