Two suspects have been arrested for defrauding Rs. 16.3 million from the public promising jobs in Japan.
The Police stated the Kuliyapitiya Special Crimes Investigation Unit had launched a probe into the fraud based on seven complaints filed in this regard.
The suspects were arrested by the Kuliyapitiya Special Crimes Investigation Unit on Wednesday (Oct 25).
They are aged 35 and 57 years and are residents of the Imbulgoda and Halmillawewa areas.
The Kuliyapitiya Special Crimes Investigation Unit is conducting further investigations into the incident. (NewsWire)
