The Committee on Parliamentary Business Affairs has decided to conduct a 26-day debate on the Appropriation Bill for the year 2024.
Accordingly, President Ranil Wickremesinghe will present the Budget 2024 to Parliament on Monday, November 13, 2023.
The debate on the second reading of the Budget 2024 will be conducted for seven days starting on November 14 and concluding on November 21.
Thereafter, the adjournment debate will be held for 19 days starting on November 22 and concluding on December 13.
The third reading of the Budget 2024 will be held on December 13 with the final vote scheduled for 06.00 pm on the same day.
Parliament sessions will be held from 09.00 am to 06.00 pm during this period. (NewsWire)
