An incident has been reported from the Panibandigoda area in Aluthgama where a husband had allegedly killed the wife after attacking her with a sharp object and then he had died by suicide.
Police said that the incident had taken place on Saturday (4) evening, after a quarrel between the couple due to a family dispute had escalated to a confrontation, resulting in the the husband attacking the wife.
The bodies of the 30-year-old wife and 36-year-old husband have been kept at the crime scene under police protection to conduct preliminary magisterial examination. Aluthgama Police are conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
