The Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2024 presented by the President today is based on seeking loans and selling state assets, National Peoples Power (NPP) Leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake claimed.
Speaking to reporters following the President’s Budget speech in Parliament today, MP Dissanayake said the government is continuing to push the nation into a further crisis via its Budget proposal for 2024.
The NPP leader also accused the government of having increased the loan borrowing limit by a further Rs. 3400 billion than what was initially proposed.
Stating that instead of providing new solutions to the existing crisis in the country, MP Dissanayake said the President and his government have proposed their old and failed measures again. (NewsWire)
