Former President and Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Leader Maithripala Srisena has extended his wishes to the newly elected political leadership of the Maldives.
According to the SLFP, the former President’s greetings were conveyed to the newly elected Maldivian President by former Parliamentarian Udith Lokubandara.
SLFP Haputale District Organizer Udith Lokubandara travelled to the Maldives to extend the SLFP Leader’s greetings and engage in multiple bilateral discussions with the Maldivian officials.
Apart from conveying former President Sirisena’s wishes to the newly elected Maldivian President, Lokubandara also handed over the book ‘Polonnaruwa’ written by former President Maithripala Sirisena to the Maldivian Leadership.
Lokubandara met the majority leader Candidate Abdula Jabir, Minister to the President affairs Adam Rameez, Chief of the Maldivaian Defence Forces Gen. Abdul Raheem and Police Chief Mohomad Naveen during this visit.(NewsWire)
