Two Sri Lankan youths have been arrested for attempting to leave the country using forged visa documents.
It was reported that the suspects were arrested at the Katunayake Airport by Border Control Unit officers from the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
The suspects have been identified as residents of Kilinochchi and Mulleriyawa, aged 25 and 27 years.
They had attempted to leave for Austria via a Turkish Airlines flight but had been detected at the Katunayake Airport after presenting forged visa documents.
Investigations have revealed that the suspects had obtained the forged visa documents from a broker based in Borella. (NewsWire)
