Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha has announced that the 2024 GCE Ordinary and Advanced Level Examinations will be held within the next year.
Speaking to reporters, Minister Premajayantha said the delayed 2023 GCE Advanced Level Examination will be held as scheduled in January 2024.
The minister said, however, that they intend to conduct the 2024 GCE Ordinary Level Examination in mid-May next year.
“A period of three- months is required between each of the examinations, for the completion of paper marking,” he said.
The Education Minister further expressed hope that by 2025 they will be able to normalise the holding of examinations within the specified years. (NewsWire)
