Three Sri Lankans, who were working as officers attached to the Ukrainian military, have died in the ongoing fighting between Ukraine and Russia.
The Sri Lankan Embassy in Ankara, Turkey confirmed that the three Sri Lankan officers had been killed in action in Bakhmut.
The Embassy further said that they had died while fighting against Russian forces on the Ukrainian front on Tuesday (Dec 05).
The three deceased officials also include former Sri Lanka Army Captain Ranish Hewage, who is known for his call sign ‘Dentist’.
