The Women’s Premier League 2024 auction witnessed some unbelievable scenes as a total of 165 players – 104 Indian and 61 overseas players including 15 associate nations representatives – went under the hammer.
Uncapped Indian Cricketer Kashvee Gautam made headlines after being grabbed by Gujarat Giants (GG) for a whopping amount of Rs 2 crore. Australia Women all-rounder Annabel Sutherland also fetched Rs 2 crore by Delhi Capitals.
However, there were also a few star players who surprisingly did not get any buyers.
Sri Lanka Women captain Chamari Athapaththu not getting a WPL emerged as the biggest surprise.
