The chief of Sri Lanka Police’s Computer Crimes Investigation Unit, SSP Dharshika Kumari, draws attention to the alarming rise in scams aimed especially targeting the youth.
Scammers usually start the communication process by sending messages, frequently using well-known apps like Telegram, with alluring job openings. The scammers lure unsuspecting victims into their trap by offering work from home opportunities with flexible working hours and mentioning that there is no need for prior experience. (NewsWire)
