Three overseas Sri Lankan diplomatic missions to be reopened

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a proposal for the re-opening of three overseas Sri Lankan diplomatic missions that were temporarily closed during the 2021/2022 period.

The government said it has identified the need to reopen the following Sri Lanka Missions; 

  1. Sri Lankan Consulate General’s Office in Nicosia, Cypress
  2. Sri Lankan Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq
  3. Sri Lankan Consulate General’s Office in Frankfurt, Germany

Accordingly, the Cabinet approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs to reopen the said overseas diplomatic missions. (NewsWire)
