Rainy conditions are expected to continue in most parts of Sri Lanka today, according to the Department of Meteorology.
Accordingly, rain is expected in the Northern, Eastern, Uva, Central and Southern provinces, while cloudy skies can be expected over most parts of the island.
Showers will occur at times in the Northern, Eastern, Uva, Central, Southern and North-central provinces. Heavy rainfall above 100 mm can be expected in some places.
Showers are likely in the other areas of the island during the morning. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in these areas after 1.00 p.m.

Winds will be easterly or north-easterly and wind speed will be 30-40 kmph. Wind speed may increase up to 50-60 kmph at times in the sea areas around the island.
