Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa says the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) government will amend the current Sri Lankan agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
MP Premadasa said the SJB government’s stance was conveyed directly to the IMF representatives.
“The IMF representatives were directly informed that we were keen to engage in a discussion to find solutions that are suitable for Sri Lanka and that the agreement will be amended to serve the public. Even though other parties failed to meet the IMF representatives or went into hiding, we met them,” he further said. (NewsWire)
