A meeting has taken place between a delegation of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the National People’s Power (NPP).
According to the NPP, Its Leader MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake participated in the discussion held at the head office of the Janatha Vimukthi Peramana (JVP) today (Jan 31).
A lengthy discussion had taken place regarding the issues faced by the business sector in Sri Lanka in the face of the economic and political crisis and the NPP’s policy approaches to solving the economic crisis.
On behalf of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, its president, Duminda Hulangamuwa, local managing partner of Ernst & Young, Bigumal Thevarathantri of Standard Chartered Bank, Supun Weerasinghe, chief executive officer of Dialog Axiata, and Murtaza Jafferjee, President of Advocata Institute, were present for this meeting.
In addition to MP Anura Dissanayake, the General Secretary of the JVP, Tilvin Silva, National Executive Members of NPP KD Lalkantha, Vijitha Herath and Engineer Kumara Jayakodi also participated, representing the NPP. (NewsWire)
