The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has quashed the Cabinet decision allowing former President Maithripala Sirisena to continue to occupy the official residence in Colombo, after the completion of his tenure.
The court order against the Cabinet decision was issued by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka today (Feb 29).
Thereby, the court order suspends the Cabinet decision, taken in October 2019, allowing the former President to occupy the official residence in Paget Road, Colombo even after he had left office. (NewsWire)
