Savindri Perera of Sri Lankan origin has taken the traditional Sri Lankan dish ‘Kiribath’ to the international stage presenting it at Australia’s cooking competition, ‘MasterChef Australia’.
She was praised by the judges for her presentation and flavour of the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, with one of the judges claiming ‘it’s like a painting’.
Fondly known as ‘Sav’, Savindri Perera presented Kiribath (milk rice) and blackened coconut snapper covered with Sri Lankan treacle.
Likening her food to ‘a celebration’, the judges went on to praise her for presenting ‘really good Sri Lankan food’. (Newswire)
