Maldivian Airlines, the renowned flag carrier of the Maldives, has launched its latest flight route from the capital Male to Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Launching its operations, the first flight of Maldivian Airlines arrived at the Bandaranaike International Airport on Thursday (Apr 25) with 138 passengers.
According to the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL), the flight was welcomed by a celebratory water cannon salute upon arrival at BIA.
The passengers were warmly welcomed with Sri Lanka Tea Board-sponsored Ceylon Tea gift packs followed by a traditional Kandyan dance performance.
Maldivian Airlines operates two weekly flights departing every Thursday and Saturday, providing flexible options for both leisure and business travellers. (Newswire)
