Former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage has been acquitted from the case filed against him over allegations of money laundering related to the purchase of a house in Colombo.
The Colombo High Court today acquitted the former minister from the case which was filed by the Attorney General under the Money Laundering Act.
Mahindananda Aluthgamage was charged with the failure to declare the source of funds used to purchase a luxury house worth Rs. 27.4 million at Kynsey Road in Borella during his tenure as a minister. (Newswire)
