The Norwegian Ambassador to Sri Lanka May Elin Stener met Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa for a discussion on Thursday (May 02).
According to the Opposition Leaders’ Office, the two parties engaged in a lengthy discussion concerning the current situation in Sri Lanka.
During the discussion, MP Premadasa conveyed to the Norwegian Ambassador the economic crisis facing Sri Lanka and outlined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya’s (SJB) plans to address it.
Emphasizing that this year is pivotal in the country’s political landscape due to the upcoming election, MP Premadasa outlined how the SJB intends to rejuvenate the nation post corrupt regime and the establishment of a populist government.
Joining Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa were MPs Niroshan Perera and Kavinda Jayawardena, while joining the Norwegian Ambassador was the second secretary of the Norwegian Embassy, Johan Bjerkem. (Newswire)
