The British High Commission in Sri Lanka has warned Sri Lankans of a scam by fake agents claiming to provide visa services to the United Kingdom.
Issuing a notice, the British High Commission said fake agents may claim they can speed up the UK visa process or may ask for payment into a personal bank account.
The High Commission requested those requiring a third-party to help complete their visa applications to ensure they are genuine.
The British High Commission advised Sri Lankans to do their research prior to entrusting visa application processes to third parties. (Newswire)
