A 03-year-old child was reported dead due to electrocution in the Maggona area in Payagala on Monday.
The deceased toddler has been identified as a resident of the Munghena area in Maggona.
Police investigations reveal that the girl had been electrocuted after coming into contact with an exposed power outlet at her residence.
The child had died upon admission to the Beruwala Hospital.
