Debator’s Council member, Viren Beruwalage has become the first Sri Lankan to be appointed to the World Schools Debating Championship Board of Directors.
Viren Beruwalage is a graduate of both the University of St. Andrews and Kings College, London and has been involved in debating since 2014.
He is the Director of Coaching of the Debators Council of Sri Lanka and was the Head Coach of the Sri Lankan WSDC 2023 team.
Viren Beruwalage has led the Sri Lankan team to seven consecutive grand finals at international competitions and won three.
