Parliamentarian Rohitha Abeygunawardena has been appointed as the National Convener of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) party.
The decision was taken during a meeting of the SLPP’s Executive Council and Politburo under the patronage of party leader Mahinda Rajapaksa, at his residence in Colombo.
The meeting was held to revise the party constitution in order to introduce a new post for the party, which was the National Convener. (Newswire)
