A 31-year-old woman was reported killed by her husband and his friend in the Thalahena area in Thalangama early this morning.
According to the Police, the woman had been murdered after being attacked with a sharp weapon.
Police investigations reveal that an argument had escalated between the couple last week after which the woman’s husband and his friend had attacked and murdered her.
Following the murder the suspects are reported to have left the body at the rented house the couple had been residing in and left the area.
However, the suspects had later returned to inform the Police of the murder.
The victim’s husband, a 31-year-old resident of Hingurakgoda, and his friend, a 44-year-old resident of Galewala, have been apprehended over the murder.
