Four deaths were reported in separate areas on Monday, out of which three are unidentified bodies, the Police said.
The body of a man had been found behind a Church in Negombo last morning following a tip-off. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained, while he is found to have tattoos on his chest. The Negombo Police is conducting investigations.
A man was also found dead in Negombo, in front of Maris Stella College, last afternoon. The deceased is assumed to be around 65 years of age. The Negombo Police is conducting a probe into the death.
Meanwhile, the unidentified body of a woman was found inside a Buddhist Temple in Panadura South last morning. The deceased is assumed to be between 60 and 65 years of age. The Panadura Police is conducting investigations into the death.
A 69-year-old man was found dead between the 4th and 5th bends in the 18-bend area in Hasalaka last evening. The deceased has been identified as a resident of the Kamburupitiya area. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the man had left his house following a dispute with the family. The Hasalaka Police is conducting a probe into the death. (Newswire)
