Arrangements have been made for the Colombo International Film Festival to be held from 08-14 July this year, under the joint initiative of the National Film Corporation and the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
According to the government, the film festival has been organized with the primary objective of popularizing global cinematography in Sri Lanka by creating a revival in the national film industry as well as making Sri Lanka a tourist hub in South Asia.
