Three people were reported dead and two others injured in a fatal motor accident reported in the Mankulam area in Kilinochchi on Tuesday night.
According to the Police, the accident had occurred after a lorry had crashed into a bus that had been parked on the road due to a technical issue.
The lorry is reported to have crashed into the parked bus, and then run over the driver and a few passengers who were attempting to fix the bus.
The deceased have been identified as the bus driver and two passengers, while the driver of the lorry and another bus passenger had sustained injuries in the accident. (Newswire)
