A 15-hour water cut will be imposed in several areas, including in Colombo, on Saturday.
According to the Water Board, the water supply will be disrupted tomorrow from 09.00 am to 12.00 midnight.
Water supply to Colombo, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Kotte, Kaduwela Municipal Council areas, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa, Kolonnawa Urban Council areas, Kotikawatte, and Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha areas will be disrupted during this period.
The Water Board further said water will be supplied with low pressure in the Moratuwa Municipal Council areas.
The water cut is being imposed due to maintenance work by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) which requires the power supply to be disconnected to the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant and other maintenance work by the water board. (Newswire)
