David Sislen, the newly appointed World Bank Country Director for Sri Lanka, Nepal, and the Maldives, met President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat on Thursday (July 04).
According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), the meeting served as an introduction for the new World Bank Country Director, while the President also engaged in a cordial discussion with the World Bank team.
David Sislen succeeds Faris Hadad-Zervos, who is moving to a new assignment within the World Bank.
Vice President for the South Asia Region, Martin Raiser; Country Manager for the Maldives and Sri Lanka, South Asia, Chiyo Kanda; and Senior Advisor to the President on Economic Affairs, Dr. R.H. S. Samaratunga, also attended the meeting. (Newswire)
