Sri Lanka has entered into 35 investment agreements this year, according to State Minister of Investment Promotion Dilum Amunugama.
The Ministry of Investment Promotion has successfully reached the target of attracting investments totaling USD 1 billion, as set by the Ministry of Finance, the Minister stated.
Minister Amunugama made these remarks during the inauguration of the second and third phases of the Bingiriya Export Processing Zone.
Following instructions from President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Ministry is currently exploring the development of new investment zones in Iranavila, Mankulam, and Kankasanthuari, he added. (Newswire)
