According to the proposed education reforms, aesthetic subjects are essential to general education, the Ministry of Education said.
In a statement, the Education Ministry pointed out that aesthetic subjects can be studied in primary, secondary and tertiary education.
The Education Ministry further revealed that students can sit for examinations on aesthetic subjects in the GCE Ordinary and GCE Advanced Levels examinations as well in Sri Lanka.
Moreover, aesthetic subjects in higher education also remain the same, the ministry pointed out.
The Ministry of Education further said that it is working to eliminate false views and assumptions made via various media related to aesthetic subjects. (Newswire)
