Asanga Abeygunasekara, the former Director of the Institute of National Security Studies, was arrested this morning at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
Authorities detained Abeygunasekara on the basis of an open warrant related to a case filed by the Inland Revenue Department. Further details on the charges and subsequent legal proceedings are yet to be disclosed. (Newswire)
