Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) member Bandula Lal Bandarigoda’s name has been gazetted to fill the parliamentary seat vacated following the suspension of Manusha Nanayakkara’s party membership.
Bandarigoda, who secured 34,897 votes and the third place in the Galle District in the 2020 General Election, was next in line on SJB’s preferential vote list.
Accordingly the Election Commission has named Bandula Lal Bandarigoda, to fill this vacancy as provided for under Sub Article 99(13)(B) of the Constitution. (Newswire)
