The National Election Commission says the 2024 Presidential Election will see a longer ballot paper than that issued at the 2019 election.
Election Commission Chairman R.M.A.L. Ratnayake said as 39 candidates will be contesting the election, the ballot paper will be longer than that of the 2019 election.
The National Election Commission is expected to announce the length and cost of the ballot paper soon.
The Election Commission Chairman further said that the ballot papers for the 2024 Presidential Election will be handed over to the Government Printers for printing today.
He said the ballot papers are being prepared and the necessary measures are being taken in this regard.
The Presidential Election will be conducted from 07.00 am to 04.00 pm on 21 September 2024. (Newswire)
