A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the attempted shooting incident near a hotel in Hikkaduwa on 14 August this year.
The Police said the suspect was arrested with 06.44 grams of Crystal methamphetamine (‘ice’) in the Nalagasdeniya area in Hikkaduwa yesterday.
The suspect is among two gunmen who had arrived on a motorcycle and attempted to open fire at an individual in front of a hotel in Hikkaduwa using a T-56 firearm.
Officials from the Galle Crimes Division had arrested the suspect based on a tip-off and handed him over to the Hikkaduwa Police for further investigations. (Newswire)
