The police have launched a special investigation into an incident involving a recently married couple conducting pre-shoot inside the historic Sri Dalada Maligawa.
The couple was photographed at various locations within the temple, including the Hewisi Mandapaya and Ambaraawa, which has sparked significant debate on social media.
Pradeep Nilanga Dela, the Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa, confirmed that he was made aware of the incident and had informed the police. The couple, along with the photographer, have been summoned to Kandy today (09) to provide statements regarding the matter.
