Former minister Harin Fernando said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s campaign team has strategically reduced the number of public rallies from 92 to 84.
Taking to ‘X,’ the former minister explained that this move has allowed for a greater focus on one-on-one professional forums, resulting in a total of 200 engagements between the President and various groups.
The decision was made to allocate resources more effectively, prioritizing engagement with key stakeholders and focus groups, he said.
Fernando’s statement comes following charges by SJB MP Dayasiri Jayasekara that more than 30 public rallies of the President had been cancelled due to lack of public support. (Newswire)
