Presidential candidate Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe has revealed that political parties are taking the services of manpower agencies to supply people to attend their election rallies.
According to Rajapakshe, these firms charge around Rs. 3,000 per person for a full-day event or Rs. 1,500 for a shorter duration.
The former minister alleged that this is how political parties assemble large crowds for election rallies. He also expressed confidence in winning the election, citing his expected support from the 5 million Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) voters in the country. (Newswire)
