Nearly 500 staff of a private apparel factory in the Bakamuna area in Polonnaruwa have been hospitalised due to food poisoning early this morning.
According to media reports, the Bakamuna Police said the apparel factory workers had fallen ill after consuming food provided at the factory.
The ill apparel factory workers had been admitted to the Bakamuna and Aththanakadawala Hospitals.
Hospital sources have revealed that the workers were not in critical condition and are undergoing treatment. (Newswire)
