The overall Rate of Inflation, as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), dropped to (-0.5%) in September 2024.
According to the Department of Census and Statistics, it is a drop from the 0.5% reported in August this year.
Meanwhile, food inflation also decreased to (-0.3%) in September from the 0.8% recorded in August.
Non-food inflation too has dropped to (-0.5%) in September from the 0.4% reported last month. (Newswire)
