The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for severe lightning for 16 districts effective until 11.30 p.m today.
Accordingly, thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in the Western, North-western, Eastern, North-central and Uva provinces and in the Mullaittivu, Vavuniya, Mannar and Matale districts. (Newswire)
